The man, the myth, the legend
OK, I know the title is a bit much but I felt I needed to add some drama to spice up an otherwise dull page.
I’m Chris Monnat, a 24 year old professional web worker based in Rochester, NY. My specialty is web application development although I have an appreciation for the design side as well. You’ll typically find me slaving over lines of PHP code… but I have also been known to slice the odd design or two in Photoshop and build them out in XHTML and CSS. I’ve developed 2 web based applications with a third on the way (find out more on my projects page).
I graduated from Morrisville State College in 2006 with a BA in IT concentrating on web development. I’m an entrepreneur, an Eagle scout and I enjoy the outdoors. Contrary to what my blogs tagline says, there is rarely anything extraordinary about my programming. I just needed to put something in that text box on the settings page; it was bugging me empty.
Employment
During the day I’m at my desk at a web design and development company focusing on the medical industry. At night I roam the streets of Rochester saving citizens from evil doers… just kidding. When I’m not working at my full time job I’m working for Left of Center Communications (LOCC) which is a web development company I started as part of my college internship. LOCC focuses on developing web applications for under served markets to help them get more out of the Internet.
